In A Beat I Key Art & Social Media
I had the pleasure of working with director and filmmaker, Natasha Mynhier, on her short film, In A Beat. Inspired by a true story, a young boy with autism finds a unique way to cope with a meltdown while his mom is away at an audition. I worked closely with Natasha on the logo, teaser poster and Instagram posts. Rhythmic tap, which dates back to the early 20th century, plays a huge role in the film. To pay homage to the craft, we used a 1930s inspired font for the logo. Original photography was reimagined as gritty, black and white imagery to reflect the somber mood of the characters as they struggle with the ups and downs of life. We carried that same look and feel over to the IG account and coupled it with pops of gold dialogue from the film.
